This programming is offered for free as part of a USDA Local Food Promotion Grant for those working in or with Food Systems (hubs, aggregators, etc.).

What Can I Expect from Boot Camp?

Two intense, focused days to learn and work on your business

The overarching goal of this Boot Camp is to help you repair your business pain points as fast as possible so you can survive the ever-changing food systems landscape. In Boot Camp 2.0, businesses will revisit some of the main topics focused on in Boot Camp 1.0, including revisiting the pitch deck developed in Boot Camp 1.0, to update and develop it further.

Main topics that will be addressed include

  • pivoting your business model,
  • adapting operations for social distancing and the emerging supply chain,
  • market constraints and opportunities, and
  • getting ready to successfully recapitalize.

Boot Camp 2.0 also discusses

  • Raising Equity,
  • different funding approaches,
  • current trends across the food sector,
  • before/after COVID impacts on food,
  • problem/solution due to unforeseen circumstances (pivoting) and
  • gives businesses an introduction to Scenario Planning.
