About the Instructor

As a Farm Expert in Residence for FFI, Chase works with entrepreneurial farm businesses to build farm financial management capacity and access the capital they need to grow. He brings his expertise in farm business and agricultural lending to Farm Boot Camp.

Chase’s background includes working as an Agriculture and Commercial Loan Officer in Southwest Wisconsin, where he worked with row crop, beef, and dairy farms. Chase also was heavily involved in agronomy, livestock nutrition, and grain merchandising at a local Ag cooperative. In addition, Chase now runs a large custom grazing operation that focuses on yearling steers or breeding age heifers for several clients as well as selling hay grown on the farm. He and his wife also raise horses for use with the cattle and to compete in rodeo and ranch riding competitions.

Chase grew up working on the family crop and cow/calf operation and is the fifth generation to the farmland he now lives on and works with his wife and daughter.
